1. Sponsorship of Fees for Agricultural Producers
Did you know that qualifying agricultural vendors receive a 50% sponsorship of vendor membership and booth rental fees at our market?! Qualifying partial ag vendors will receive a 25% sponsorship! The Fireweed Market is a great place for farmers & gatherers to connect directly with their customers and we want to do everything we can to make it affordable.
2. Champion of Local Food Award
The Champion of Local Food award is a recognition program created to highlight the use of Yukon grown or raised products in prepared foods. Vendors who have incorporated local agricultural products in their prepared foods are given a “Blue Ribbon” Champion of Local Food award to display at their booths.

3. Agricultural Workshops
Free to participants, these drop-in style workshops and demonstrations happen during our Outdoor Markets. Workshops focus on sharing backyard gardening, regenerative farming, vermiculture, wild harvesting, and fermenting information & techniques with community members.

4. Harvest Raffle
The Harvest Raffle is a weekly, charitable lottery of locally farmed and produced foods. Every week, the market staff purchase $200 worth of locally farmed, raised, and harvested food to fill two baskets.. Market goers can purchase a ticket for $2. The funds are then donated to the Victoria Faulkner Women’s Centre & The Kaushee’s Place shelter. The baskets may include items such as: vegetables, herbs, meat, fish, grain, eggs, dairy, mushrooms, jams, preserves, teas or other locally grown/raised/gathered food items available that week. The winning ticket is drawn at 6pm every market day, and the lucky winner picks up their goods during the next hour.
