Born in Transylvania, Florin grew up inspired by the forests around him, captivated by the grain, texture, and imperfections of wood. Drawing from the minimalist influence of the renowned sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, Florin distills the essence of form and material in his work.
Now based in Whitehorse, Yukon, Florin transforms driftwood and reclaimed wood into intricate sculptures inspired by the North’s rugged beauty. Committed to sustainability, he works with locally sourced materials, blending artistry with environmental consciousness.
