Customer FAQ

Are all vendors on the platform? Will they be?

No not all vendors will opt for online, probably due to time to set it up or ability to manage it. They may also already have an eCommerce solution. We expect to grow the number of vendors on the platform

Will ordered items be centralized for pick up, or do you have to go to vendors?

No orders will not be centralized for pick up. This is the Potluck Food Club model for their Monday night online farmer’s market. Our customers need to pick up orders based on each vendors instruction.

When/where does pick up happen? Are there assigned times?

Vendors set their locations, dates, and if desired times. I have only seen one vendor with a cut-off to pick up before 5pm for example.

Do people need their own containers/boxes?

Under COVID19 guidelines customers are not allowed to use their own containers/boxes. Your own shopping bag is fine for putting your vendor supplied packaging into.

How will distancing work at pick up?

We will have signage, small traffic cones for spacing and chalk on the ground.

Do vendors not on the online platform have other no-contact options, or do we have to wade into the market to get their stuff?

We have a listing of our 2019 vendors on our website – many of which have some digital presence. Many Yukon artists are represented in the Art Adventures on Yukon Time publication as well.

Could Fireweed Market hire someone to do downtown deliveries?

We do not plan to do that. Our platform provides the vendors options to set their own pickup locations and delivery days.
